On Monday April 9, 2007. Two really retarded kids set fire to a San Marcos landmark. Fisher Hall, as it was called back then, was built in 1903. The bulding started off as a dormitory for boys, turned into a hospital around mid-century, then became the Pi Kappa Alpha frat house in 1968. In 1998 the house came under one owner, who had wide ranging plans for the hall. However, since then, none of the plan have panned out, and the bulding has sat abandoned, with meager attempts to keep people out. The lure of it was hard to resist. It was a fun house to walk through at night, like a huanted house, or a cemetary. Creepy. So fortunately, I took some pictures before it burned. The pictures below are a day after the fire.
